About me

I am a Salvadorean [Salvadorian] (If you don't what is that then google it) ... or am I American? =S (NOOoooOOO I fell in the same dilemma loop again!) ... Since a year ago I started having nationality issues, so please don't ask me where I am from.

I do not want to disclose my name. (Just because I think is cooler that way =P … and because I want most of my readers/followers to –and the ones that might happen to know me- to not have any kind of expectations prior to reading my blog)

I was born in the US but I grew up and lived most of my life in El Salvador… boy, I am telling you, living in a rural area of El Salvador could be intense at times.

I had to pursue my higher education in the US. Because of financial issues (numerous family and poor family does not go well) I had to leave my family and come to high school in the US living with aunts and uncles.

I guess it was because of my mom, who is a Salvadorean who perhaps hung out too much with Chinese people in the US when she worked here, and because there was a lot of good old style anime in main stream TV, I developed an acquaintance and love towards East Asia (with Japan in particular).

I love languages. My mother tongue is Spanish. Since I am from a small village, I didn’t start learning English until I came to the states 5 years ago. (wow time flies!). In High school I took Italian. I almost took French but I realized it was just like English –write it one way, pronounce another… soooo stupid. So I ended up taking Italian which is very close to Spanish (closer than French which I consider the adopted son/daughter of Mother Latin).

NOW: I am a sophomore in college; I just gave up in my dream of learning Japanese and going to Japan.
And now I am learning Chinese and totally in love with Korean language, music, and dramas. I gave up on Japan maybe because I had the opportunity to go (for free! Yeay!! ..Otherwise I could have never gone) to China and Korea (respectively).
